Post II:

Yup, second post. For those of you without fingers or devoid of the proverbial abacus, that is two posts in under an hour. A remarkable feat by any and proud of it. I know most of you are saying, "But Ben, you just started blogging. Don't you think you should slow down. You know, baby steps, until you can get a full understanding on what it is to blog and become cognizant of the affects your posts can have." And I say to you, THIS IS BLOGGING. Isn't it? Is blogging not an unrestrained release of emotions, ideas and utterances. Don't answer. I know it is. I've read blogs, they all contain a relentless rant of subjective positions to fashion, or feelings towards politics and global occurrences, or blabbering's of some idiots latest sexcapade or recent trip to six-flags newest concession stand. No, I'm not talking about any of these, but what I am doing is ranting, and relentlessly ranting at that.

But for now, for this post, the question that I have to pose to all of you out there reading this, all two of you, is what the fuck? What the fuck is happening to our world? Yes, many things are spinning our of control, but that one thing that has gone the most haywire, and I believe many could agree, is the arts. Old art forms, predominately consisting of aesthetics, harmony, and completeness, are being curbed for the more mundane and mediocre. What talent does it take to sing a song masked by auto tune, or create a song that is ripped from musicians who once created those melodies through their instruments.  What is it to be born with a perfect bone structure, yet be void of any theatrical dexterity, and become a iconic actor? Do any of these necessitate a true talent or skill. No. They don't.
I contend that advances in technology, leading to languidness, and societies hunger for beautiful people - by which measures qualify this, I don't know - are what escort people to the apogee of the social elite. That is, technology can make any necessity of talent - be it singing, acting, modeling, drawing, sculpting, etc. - obsolete, and all that is required in place of those forgone skills is good looks.

Personally, as this is my personal blog and I can say what ever the fuck I want to say, I would like to see this world regress back to when talent was a commodity. Back when you didn't have to see the person to be enthralled by them, and only had to hear their voice through the radio, see their art in a museum, hear their music in an amphitheater, or read their ideas and feelings in a back, back when all that was necessary was their actual talent that they had worked hard for to achieved.

Regress commonly holds a negative connotation, particularly in this fast moving, ever advancing world, but I a regression such as this would be a benevolent occurrence. What do you think?
This is my first post to a blog, EVER. Get out the hammer and get to busting those cherries everyone. While I have flittered with the idea of blogging for quite some time I have never gotten around to it because Ive just been so darn busy with everything else, primarily my IBS. But for the past three minutes while I worked through the blogspot set up page highly anticipating this very moment where I would finally have to world submit to my words via the worldwide web.

I sincerely hope you do like my blogging. And if you don't than send me some hate mail, and be sure not to leave out the specifics - I want this blog to be perfect in everyones eyes (children, pedophiles, fathers, perverts, aeronautical engineers, girlfriends, wives, husbands, quakers, catholics, muslims, whites, blacks, yellows, computer savvy orangutans, florists, clowns, young professionals, top execs, the president (of Arby's), your mom, your grandma, brits, gun wielding cowboys in Texas, people who like CSI: Miami) so I'm going to need everyone's input. However, if you have a problem with any racial, religious, radical, condescending, demeaning, egotistical, misogynistic, hyperbolic remark that I make then shove it up your snake hole and don't let it out.

But yes, it is my first blogging, but that isn't to say that I'm coming out of little league, bypassing the minors, and going straight into the pros. No. Like anyone with any dignity I've been on Facebook since the very beginning; refining my technique for the past 6-7 years so when the day came to torch the world with my erratic and semi-dramatic feelings I would be adroit in expressing them to you.
